XO World Project on Lincoln Road
400 Block Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Contemporary abstract sculptor and painter Daniel Anderson will reveal his monumental “XO World” sculpture, inspired by the game of jacks (notably a universal game across cultures), on Tuesday, November 19, during a press conference on Lincoln Road. The unveiling marks Anderson’s Miami Art Week debut and his first work in Florida. The artwork – spanning over 12 feet high and 24 feet long, made from 20,000 pounds of stainless steel – was first unveiled as the XO World Project at One World Trade Center in NYC on the 40th anniversary of World Peace Day (September 21, 2021) with its sister sculpture, “XO Play,” at the Oculus. The “X” of the sculpture, a jack (aka “love jack”) with crossed arms, signifies “love” in sign language and represents the four pillars of equality, unity, peace and love. The “O” is represented by a globe, bringing humanity together as one.
The XO World Project Foundation is focused on making a sustainable impact on global communities by carrying out humanitarian projects that address equal access to health care, water, food and economic empowerment for women.
The sculpture will be displayed on the 400 block of Lincoln Road through June 30, 2025. Visitors are encouraged to interact with it in person and via social media and “share their love” (crossing their arms to their chest) for all across the globe.
Dream Machine on Lincoln Road
900 Block Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Lincoln Road will present “Dream Machine” by visual artist Rubem Robierb. The 10-by-13-foot larger-than-life butterfly wing sculpture represents the materialization of our innermost wishes. The interactive piece invites viewers to place themselves between the sculptural wings and imagine a trip to a place where dreams come true, creating a metaphorical space that speaks to the power of our minds and the law of attraction. Robierb debuted “Dream Machine” onboard the Celebrity Edge cruise ship before displaying it in NYC’s Tribeca Park in partnership with Taglialatella Galleries. The sculpture will be revealed on Tuesday, November 19, during a press conference on the 900 block of Lincoln Road, where it will remain on display through April 2025.

Arlo Living Room Gallery + Chris Rivers Exhibition at Arlo Wynwood
Arlo Wynwood, 2217 NW Miami Court, Miami, FL 33127
From December 4 to February 28, Arlo Wynwood, known for having immersive art experiences within its public spaces, will present a special exhibition at its third-floor gallery in partnership with British artist Chris Rivers. Serving as a 24/7 public art gallery, the exhibition, entitled Cosmos, will showcase the artist’s dedication to exploring the beauty and vastness of the cosmic system, the complexities and contradictions of the human condition, and the infinite possibilities of the universe. Curated by Jasmine Arakel, the exhibition features exuberant works in which the artist utilizes the materiality of paint to create images of otherworldly expanses and environments. Rivers often introduces soft light filters through layers of complementary tones, swelling with dramatic, saturated color before receding into the image. Upon closer inspection, these clouds are populated by minute details – flowers, insects, figures and other characters – scattered across the painted surface, offering a sense of scale to the abstract haze. Distinct rococo elements are also detectable, as curvilinear motifs fade in and out of the vibrant, bustling compositions. These works were previously on display at Pontone Gallery in New York City. On Wednesday, December 4, Arlo Wynwood will celebrate Rivers and his exhibit during an opening reception open to the public.

No Vacancy at Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club: ‘Rhapsody for a Beloved World’ by Marielle Plaisir
Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club, 3925 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, FL 33140
Cadillac Hotel & Beach Club is one of 12 hotels chosen to participate in the fifth edition of “No Vacancy” in collaboration with the City of Miami Beach and the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA). As part of this program, artist Marielle Plaisir presents “Rhapsody for a Beloved World.” Through a vibrant, interdisciplinary approach, Plaisir strives to challenge harmful histories and offers a hopeful vision for the future. This powerful, color-rich collage captures the contrast between innocence and resilience, inspired by the true story of two Black boys wrongfully accused in 1958 for simply playing with a white girl. Through vibrant Caribbean colors and joyful scenes of children at play, Plaisir’s work transcends boundaries, highlighting South Florida’s history of segregation while envisioning a world where unity and friendship blossom beyond prejudice. It’s a celebration of human connection, resilience, and the possibility of a future where all children play together freely. Plaisir highlights the interconnections between humans, the universality of fractured identities, and the power of recognizing inner worlds by merging intricate botanical images of lush foliage with salvaged vintage black-and-white photographs and landscape elements.
