With more than 12 years of experience in the public relations industry, Dana Rhoden has managed the reputations of more than 150 luxury lifestyle brands from yachts and real estate to fashion, health/beauty, “green” initiatives and consumer brands.

As Founder of The Dana Agency, Dana customizes communication campaigns for clients across the country in a wide variety of industries catering to luxury lifestyle clientele.

In addition to executing national and regional PR campaigns, Dana has built a strong reputation for event management working with clients at the Oscars, Grammy’s, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards, Sundance Film Festival, New York Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Swim, Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show, South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Funkshion Fashion Week and Miami International Wine Fair.

She initially began her career in Los Angeles working in the youth marketing division of Porter Novelli public relations. She hit the ground running after college working with marque accounts such Procter & Gamble, Mattel, The Jim Henson Company Muppets and MTV’s Rock the Vote. She also gained valuable experience in the entertainment industry by securing media for new movie premieres, television shows and Emmy nomination campaigns.

Dana’s youth marketing expertise led her to Porter Novelli’s South Florida office where she oversaw media relations efforts for Florida’s Anti-tobacco Campaign (TRUTH) and the Costa Rica Board of Tourism.

In an effort to further diversify her talents, Rhoden eventually accepted a position with a Miami Beach PR agency where she headed up both the health/beauty and real estate divisions. She managed national and regional media relations campaigns, product launches and special events for marquee beauty brands such as Chanel Beauty, The Art of Shaving, Joey New York, Juvena of Switzerland and Comptoir Sud Pacifique. In addition, she helped launch multi-million dollar residential real estate projects in Philadelphia and Miami.

In 2006, Rhoden formed a strategic partnership with Alexis Knapp and the two launched Treskoi PR, a full-service marketing communications and special events firm that thrived for five years.

Rhoden is the recipient of a 2001 PRSA PRism Award and served on the Board of Directors for PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving) of the Humane Society of Broward County. In July 2009, she was featured on the cover of Brickell magazine for the 2009 Dressed for Success issue. She serves on the board of the Leading Ladies League as the Communications Director and is an avid supporter of the Melanie Finley Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

She was recently invited to speak on public relations at her alma mater, the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors. Rhoden maintains an active role in mentoring youth and is often asked to speak at various educational institutions. On her free time, she enjoys writing, traveling and practicing yoga
